Art out of Atrocity: Local artist depicts Nazi 'demons'

Some images of a wonderful article called Art out of Atrocity written by Fran Nachman Putney in 2003 on the collection of paintings that Kim Swados was working on prior to his death. "Those we loved but lost are no longer where they were but are always where we are." Love them, Honor them, Never forget!

Happy 89th Birthday Kim Swados

There has been a lot of conflict over the years as to if Kim's birthday was Oct, 30th or 31st. Dad always celebrated it on the 31st and most of the documentation I have says the same so I figured we'll keep it as such.  With all of that said, today would of been Kim Swados' 89th birthday. Happy Birthday Dad, we all miss you very much!

Kansas City Star posts tribute article about Kim E. Swados

This tribute article was written by Brian Burnes and was posted in the Kansas City Star on September 11th, 2011 @10:15pm.

Artist and set designer: Swados enjoyed a long career as a set designer working in theater, film and television.

His television work dated to the 1950s, when Swados served as set designer on various episodes of the Westinghouse “Studio One” series and “The Alcoa Hour.”

Artist & Set Designer Kim Swados Dies at 88

Mr. Kim Edgar Swados, a prominent artist, set decorator and production designer, died on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011 at Northland LTAC Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral arrangements were provided by Louis Memorial Chapel, Kansas City, Missouri. A graveside service was held at Rose Hill Cemetery on Friday, September 2nd and held by Cantor Sharon Kohn of The Temple, Congregation B'nai Jehudah.
